Hot Keys (updated 24 Oct 2024)

Hot Keys are a key press (or key combo press) that will directly control the application. You can customise the key assignments to your own preference.

Changing Hot Key assignments

Changing a Hot Key assignment to your preferred key(s) requires you to

• close EDCoPilot

• edit the EDCoPilot.ini file, found in the EDCoPilot folder

• look for the string "HotKey" then the option you want.

• change the key assignment to your preference

• save the file

• restart EDCoPilot

• NEW : setting a key assignment to "" effectively disables that Hot Key entirely

NEW - Hot Key "modes"

To reduce the number of key binds active at any one time, EDCoPilot now has different Hot Key "modes" that you can switch between. This will let you reuse the same hot key button combo to different commands, depending on the mode that is currently active

Modes are :

• Default mode (alt + d)

• Music mode (alt + m)

• Radio mode (alt + r)

• Admin mode (alt + a)

NEW - Showing Hot Key assignments - alt + h

If Hot Keys are enabled (in Settings -> UI Main Preferences), the pressing alt+h will display on the Voice Log information about

• which mode is currently active

• the Hot Key settings active for that mode, and what keys have been assigned for them
